The next flagship phone coming from LG in 2018 has plenty of rumours surrounding it, this is what we’ve heard so far about the LG G7 ThinQ. There are design rumours suggesting similar looks on the face to iPhone X, release dates and a good range of colour options to choose from. With the company setting a launch event on May 2nd in New York, expect more news ahead of the phones big reveal from then.
The LG G7 ThinkQ will be LG’s second major phone release of 2018, following on from the launch of the LG V30 earlier this year, the company will reveal the G7 in Seoul, South Korea on May 3rd. So far we can assume the new device will pack the chipmakers new Snapdragon 845 chipset, which shouldn’t be a surprise. There will also be a big focus on AI technology as we have seen with other major flagship devices this year, following trends with AI-infused cameras and such.
Other than these rumours, everything else we’ve seen so far are not from reliable sources – with not much being revealed regarding the rest of the specs of this phone. We have seen the promo images released by LG of the exterior of the phone, and can see they have adopted the notorious notch that is appearing left, right and center now, and they have also implemented what seems to be a dual-camera on the rear, again a trend making its way into mainstream devices.
Other than these pieces, we can only think about what they will be adding to the device. We will have more on the LG after the 2-3 May when they release more details at the events.
